Edouard Charton letters, 1834-1867.

Letter to M. Renduel from Paris, dated March 31, 1834, forwarding a manuscript by Emile Souvestre with Charton's recommendation. Also, letter to Monsieur A. Duméril, professor at the Muséum d'histoire naturelle in Paris, dated March 14, 1862, thanking him for his article for the Magasin Pittoresque; and clipping from the Journal des Débats, Feb. 3, 1867, announcing that Charton has been named an officer in the Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques.
