Letters, [1799]-1806.

First letter is from Barbé-Marbois to the "agent particulier du Directoire executif," requesting authorization to prolong his stay in Cayenne. At bottom is a note in the hand of and signed by the "agent particulier," Burnel, dated 7 brumaire an 8eme. (29 Oct. 1799), granting permission. Second letter, dated 18 August 1806, is from Barbé-Marbois to Monsieur Le Grand, a notary in Paris, and consists of instructions on financial matters.
