Richard Crabb papers, 1968-1992.

Papers of Richard Crabb, a twentieth century Illinois regional author who wrote about historical topics, including Mormon history, Westward expansion, and the history of the automobile. A graduate of Western Illinois University, Crabb worked as a journalist and founded the McDonough Times newspaper. He also wrote several books. The collection includes correspondence; partial manuscripts, including drafts of his book on the history of the Mormons; and research for journal articles and books, including a large amount of research on Mormon history. Also included are three folders of Crabb family photographs and clippings of articles written by Lida Crabb.
