Correspondence to Morley Roberts, 1916-1938.

Ada Galsworthy often refers to her reading of Roberts's works, and conveys news of her husband, John Galsworthy. Two letters in 1917 are written from France, during and following a several-month-long stay by the Galsworthys at a military convalescent home in Martouret. In 1933, subsequent to John Galsworthy's death, one letter (28 August) contains extended reflections about hiim, in response to something that Roberts had written. In 1936 Ada Galsworthy refers to her work on her memoir of John (14 February); and to the death of R. B. Cunninghame Graham, or Don Roberto (10 July). There are also scattered mentions of W. H. Hudson, who was a mutual friend (early on referred to as: Huddie). Many letters include affectionate references to Roberts's stepdaughter Naomi Hamlyn.
