Biographical note: Supervisor involved in inspecting and vaccinating cattle in Mexico in 1949 as a member of the Mexico-American Commission for the Eradication of Hoof and Mount Disease. Also known as the Aftosa Commission, it existed in the late 1940s to early 1950s to eradicate an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in Mexico, where the disease is known as aftosa.
