Charles R. Meyers Jr. was a B-26 pilot with the 319th Bomb Group, 438th Squadron, from 1942-1944. During the war he attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and was the commander of the 438th Bomb Squadron from August 15, 1943 to May 4, 1944, and then again from June 25, 1944 to October 11, 1944.
