Series 2. Injunction study file, 1935-1950.

Completed data gathering forms used by Seidenberg for an injunction study which grew out of a request from the Subcommittee on Labor-Management Relations, United States Senate Committee on Labor and Public Welfare to the New York State School of Industrial and Labor Relations, Cornell University. The study investigated the extent to which New York State Courts had issued labor injunctions during the time that the State Anti-Injunction Act (Section 876-A of the Civil Practice Act) had been in effect. The labor injunction case data were obtained through a study of the primary court records of the 5 counties comprising New York City; the records are divided into (1) employer plaintiff (largest group, 50% of all cases filed), (2) union plaintiff, (3) intra-union contests, and (4) inter-union contests.
