Freegift Tuthill papers, 1810-1905.

Correspondence, business, and legal papers of Tuthill and his family, particularly letters of Joshua and James Tuthill concerning family matters; other subjects include Tuthill's resignation as town superintendent of Common Schools, Sempronius, New York, his dislike of the people of the Goshen area for displaying Whig symbolism, and the dissatisfaction of the local folk with the railroad. Other topics include agricultural prices, and the legal papers of Grant Smith (for whose estate Tuthill was executor). A microfilm of a paper by Ruth Tuthill Green describes the building of a church in Sempronius.
