Scrapbook contains newspaper clippings, mostly arranged chronologically, consisting of Dorchester and Boston news and events, news of the Civil War (and of Charles Barnard Fox, with the 2nd Mass. Regiment), obituaries and funerals (including the funeral of Gov. John A. Andrew), and Unitarian church news (particularly concerning the First Church, Dorchester, and the Rev. Thomas Bayley Fox). With a manuscript petition from members of the American Unitarian Assn. in Boston seeking Fox's permission to commission a portrait of him.
