The collection contains working drawings, correspondence, contracts, cost estimates, and specifications for nearly 200 structures, mostly residences in Minneapolis, St. Paul and suburbs, including some in the Prospect Park and University Grove areas. Gillette Hospital (St. Paul) documentation is also included.

Winston Close was a native of Appleton, Minnesota, and was graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
