A history of gymnastics at the University of Minnesota, by past and present mambers of the athletics staff, 1898-1950 / written by W.K. Foster ; in collaboration with Ralph A. Piper ; edited by Frank G. McCormick and Louis F. Keller.

Included in this history of the department are an account of the situation that led to a reorganization of the Athletics program in 1921/22, an account of the origin of The Little Brown Jug trophy, biographies of many notables associated with the department, and the story of the University Circus (a student activity). The major portion of the history is devoted to the gymnastics team and program, including histories of the Northwest Gymnastic Society, the Western Intercollediate Gymnastic Assn., and W.I.G.A meets records for wrestling meets (1909-1925).
