The collection comprises extensive correspondence files (both incoming and outgoing), articles, radio talks, and speeches by Wulling, picture and clippings files. Items on the American Institute of the History of Pharmacy, correspondence and papers of the Minnesota State Pharmaceutical Assn. (1920-1941), and papers and programs of the Minnesota State Pharmaceutical Assn. are filed separately. Included are files from Wulling's involvement in many organizations, including the YMCA, the Minneapolis Civic and Commerce Assn., the Minneapolis Society of Fine Arts, various local men's groups, the International Narcotic Education Assn., and even the Bryant School PTA.

Frederick John Wulling came to the University of Minnesota in 1892 to organize the College of Pharmacy with an appointment as a professor in Pharmacy and Dean of the Faculty.
