The collection comprises a variety of personal papers including correspondence (1853-1921) among members of the Northrop family, miscellaneous programs, souvenirs, bills, tax receipts, addresses and speeches and a very small quantity of University of Minnesota correspondence. A brief diary of a trip to Europe and a small scrapbook regarding leaving Yale and coming to the University of Minnesota are included. Also included are clippings, account books, and shorthand notebooks, and a bookmark from a gift book to Northrop.
