Cora Inez Brownson papers, <194->

The collection consists of a manuscript, "Memories", written by Mrs. Brownson when she was over 80 years old. The memoir describes the University as it was from 1867 through 1880, including various buildings and the campus grounds in general, President Folwell, the faculty and the classes they taught, the student body, Greek letter fraternities and campus life at the time, the beginning of the library in Old Main, and the Senior class and ritual of commencement exercises.
