Lloyd M. Short papers, 1915-1961.

The collection comprises a collection of papers from the American Political Science Assn. (1924-65), the American Society for Public Administration (1939-65), the University of Philippines Institute of Public Administration (1935-64), from various local, state and national political organizations including the Minneapolis Citizen's League (1948-65), the Minnesota Constitutional Commission (1947-61) and others. Also included is a collection of University of Minnesota committee reports and papers (1940-65), and a collection of correspondence and reports from Seoul National University (1955-61).

Lloyd Milton Short was born on 3 February 1897 in Knoxville, Illinois. He earned his B.A. from Knox College (Galesburg, Illinois) in 1919. He earned his M.A. in 1920 and Ph.D. in 1922 from the University of Illinois. After completing his Ph.D., Dr. Short worked as an associate professor of political science at the University of Akron (Ohio) for one year (1922-1923) before moving to the University of Missouri.
