The collection comprises Martin Ruud's class notes, lecture notes and extensive bibliographies, particularly on Geoffrey Chaucer. Also included are four pages of the Norwegian language newspaper (ca. June 1914) tentatively identified as "Amerika", with marginal notes by Knut Hamsun, who was attempting to correct some biographical material about himself, which appeared elsewhere.
