Lloyd Alden Wilford papers, 1928-1962.

The collection includes a file of correspondence on the Archaeological Research Fund of the University of Minnesota, which L.A. Wilford took over from Dr. A.E. Jenks. Also included are correspondence, a partial list of Wilford's publications, some certificates, a copy of his Ph. D. thesis, and two volumes of personal financial accounts (1942-1962).

Lloyd Alden Wilford was a professor of anthropology and director of the Archaeological Research Fund at the University of Minnesota. He took over control of the Fund after the retirement of Dr. A. E. Jenks in June 1938. Professor Wilford retired from the University of Minnesota in 1959. Lloyd A. Wilford died in 1982.
