Included is correspondence relating to Elizabeth and Minnie Northrop, John Sargent Pillsbury, the Congregational Church, the Republican Party, and Yale University. The collection includes diaries of Elbridge Northrop, biographical notes for Oscar W. Firkins' "Cyrus Northrop, a memoir" (1925), an inventory of the Northrop library by Ina Ten Eyck Firkins, records of the Yale Law School debating society (1841-43), U.S. Civil War materials, and materials relating to the University of Minnesota including the dedication of Northrop Auditorium. Correspondents include Joseph Warren Beach, Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and Woodrow Wilson.
