Letters, topical files, research notes, genealogical files, and photographs, ca. 1970s-1992 and undated, including family history material on the Dodgen family, and biographical notes re poet and author, Sidney Lanier (1842-1881), of Macon, Ga., including an unpublished manuscript titled, The Merchant Princess and Mr. Sid. Includes correspondence and notes re published works: two historical novels set in upcountry South Carolina during the 18th century: Carolina Jewel (1970) and Azilie of Bordeaux (1973); Few also published, Under the White Boar (1972), an historical novel based on the life of the English king, Richard III (1483-1485), with research notes re Richard III, his sister, Margaret of York (1446-1503), and Edward IV (1442-1483). Collection also includes items relating to research for a genealogical history of her father's family entitled, The Dodgen Story (1985). Collection includes extensive research notes, and photographs of the Dodgen family, who lived primarily in the S.C. Counties of Spartanburg, Greenville, and Anderson, and elsewhere, including Georgia, Virginia, Arkansas, Texas, and California. Also includes audio visual materials: two audio cassettes record ceremonies associated with the dedication of a bridge named for one of Few's ancestors, and a videotape of a talk on constitutional law given by Few's son, a judge.
