Edgar J. Fisher collection 1899-1960.

The Edgar J. Fisher collection spans from 1899 through 1960, focusing primarily on the years between 1906 and 1955. The collection includes his lecture notes, speeches, and articles regarding the politics and history of the world, especially, the Near East, international education, and Christianity. Many of his class notes, programs from events he attended, world maps, and international folders regarding world politics are available. In addition, his complete diaries between 1899 and 1960 are included in this collection.

Edgar J. Fisher was a professor of social studies, his research specifically regarding the history of the Near East. He taught at Robert College in Constantinople, as well as small colleges in Virginia. He was a proponent of international education for young adults.
