Letters to members of the New York City Chamber of Commerce, 1867-1875.

In a letter, 1867 October 7, Bryant accepts an invitation to a banquet in honor of a Mr. Low who has made a voyage around the world. On April 29, 1875, Bryant agrees to the request of George Wilson to "make a short address" in response to a toast at a Chamber of Congress anniversary banquet. On May 1st, 1875, he sends Wilson a copy of his intended remarks in response to the toast. On May 3, 1875, Bryant asks Wilson for "a slip containing my little speech" as soon as printed.

The New York Chamber of Commerce building stands at 65 Liberty Street, New York City, on the site of the former Real Estate Exchange.
