Edward Jean Steichen, born Eduard Jean Steichen (March 27, 1879 – March 25, 1973), was a Luxembourgish American photographer, painter, and curator. His were the photographs that most frequently appeared in Alfred Stieglitz's groundbreaking magazine Camera Work during its publication from 1903 to 1917. Cornelius Greenway (1896-1968) immigrated to the United States from Holland in 1914. During World War I he served with the U.S. Army in France and received the Purple Heart and the Service Medal. He graduated from Tufts University with a BA in 1925 and an STB in 1928.
