Saucy Jack (Schooner) logbook, 1809.

The logbook of the schooner Saucy Jack details a shipping voyage from Salem, MA to Sweden, Mar.-Sept. 1809. The logbook does not continue while in port. The ship's home port was Salem; the owners were Benjamin and James Ropes and Timothy Wellman, Jr.; the master was Benjamin Upton. The logbook includes a navigation abstract. During its voyage, the Fame spoke the brig Ann (out of Beverly), the brig Betsey, the schooner Charles, the ship Jane, and the schooner Mary.
