Bernice Schubert (Radcliffe, M.S. 1937; Ph. D. 1941) spent more than half of her career at Harvard. Among various positions, she was the curator of the Arnold Arboretum, a senior lecturer on biology, and the editor of the Journal of the Arnold Arboretum. Her research focused on Dioscoreaceae, Leguminosae, and Begoniaceae.
