John C. Campbell Folk School Records 1923-1985.

The Folk School's non-current records, primarily from 1925-1969, were microfilmed for this collection. These 45 years of meeting minutes, audit and departmental reports, and publications are supplemented by pre-incorporation correspondence, meeting minutes (1923-1924), and publications (1970-1982) that document the Folk Schoool's more recent activities. The 1,913 images, taken between 1923 and 1985, range from those taken for insurance documentation and random snapshots to elaborate photo studies and arrangements depicting various aspects of Appalachian life and culture. Among them are some taken by photographer Doris Ulmann, others taken by Larry Pontier, and a group found in Betty Denash's albums.

7 reels of microfilm and 1913 copy prints (4 linear feet)
