Eave troughs, May 8, 1874.-Double windows for the houses lately erected, Sept. 28, 1883.-Circular driveway and water supply, Oct. 18, 1886.-Bull shed removal, building stone foundation and water cistern in yard, Oct. 26, 1886.-Putting in drain subdivision in granary & floor between granaries, Nov. 13, 1886 (includes letter from President James Mills expressing need of "keeping our back-yard cleaner" and suggesting a "roofless place" to "throw waste paper and all other refuse...").

Alexander Hamilton and his younger brother, William Hamilton, cleared the 400 acres of land in the Arboretum on the south side of College Ave. E. in the early 1830s. William Hamilton married Ellen Donovan and built the stone house in 1859, which was known as Glen William Farm. Their son, WIlliam Hamilton Jr. and his family lived in the stone house until ca. 1910 when he sold it to O.A.C.
