Willis Anderson Sutton, educator and administrator, was born November 19, 1879 and died in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1960. Sutton served as superintendent of the Atlanta public schools (1921-1943); executive officer of the Georgia Education Association (1944); guest lecturer for Readers' Digest (1944-1954); and an independent lecturer until about a year and a half before his death.
