Boxes 2-4 include correspondence written to and by Mrs. B. Hind, also minutes, newsletters, correspondence, bulletins, publications and articles related to the United Farmers of Ontario, United Farm Women of Ontario and United Farm Young People of Ontario, 1929-1943. Box 6 includes correspondence between Birdell Hind and others, Community Life Training Institute minutes and information, National Committee for Voluntary Registration of Canadian Women correspondence and information, correspondence related to Co-operative Women's Guild, addresses and speeches by Mrs. Hind and others. The first scrapbook contains much more than convention items or coverage and dates from about 1926/27 up to 1951, although most of the material is from the 1930's and 1940's. The clippings come from a wide variety of sources including: Canadian Countryman, Chatham News, Evening Telegram, Family Herald and Weekly Star, Farmer's Advocate, Farmers' Magazine, Farmers' Sun, London Free Press, Mail and Empire, Ontario Farmer, Weekly Sun, and Windsor Daily Star. The second scrapbook seems partly to focus on activities of farm women and co-ops, with articles clipped from the "Women's and Home Section" and other parts of the Farmer's Magazine, as well as from the Canadian School Journal, Chatelaine, Farmer's Advocate, Rural Co-operator, and United Church Observer, covering 1933 to 1961. Most heavily clipped years are the later 1930's and all the 1940's. There are many articles and columns by Leonard and by Violet Harman (a few are co-authored), also some by Agnes Macphail and Ethel Chapman.
