Letters (450 ALS), papers and documents of Charles Stuart. Primarily letters written during his ambassadorship to France (1815-1830). Also includes materials covering his school years at Eton, his early activity as secret agent in Spain and Portugal, his friendship with the Napoleonic family and his posting to St. Petersburg in his later years. Papers deal with such subjects as Gibraltar, Portugal, Mexico, the West Indies and France. Includes correspondence from Castlereagh, Pitt, Earl of Jersey.
