Calvin Mead Harvey took a course in agriculture from Macdonald College where he worked in the Poultry Department from 1922 to 1927. From 1927 to 1952 he was R.O.P. Inspector and poultry fieldman with the Federal Poultry Service Supervising Poultry Fieldman Toronto District Office becoming Supervising Production Inspector from 1952 to 1960 retiring to take on the position as Secretary-Treasurer of the Ontario Hatcheries Association until 1972.
