Seán Lucy, professor of English. Lucy, born 1931 in Bombay, India, earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the University College, Cork, Ireland. In 1960, he joined the English Department at University College, Cork, rising to the rank of professor and becoming the department chair. In 1979, he co-founded the University College, Cork, Summer School in Irish Studies for American students. After an early retirement, Lucy moved to Chicago, Illinois and offered course...
