Papers (1920-1978) of Thaddeus Hoinko (b. 1895), a Polish diplomat and worker for Polish war relief, include correspondence; photographs; and materials pertaining to his organizational activities, particularly to the Polish American Council and to the American Polish Chamber of Commerce, and including typescripts of his lectures on Poland and international affairs. Also included are papers of his wife, Marjorie Pitman Hoinko.

Thaddeus Hoinko (b. 1895) was born in Ukraine, emigrated to Poland, and in 1922 came to America as an official of the Polish Consulate. Through his position, he became familiar with Polish Americans in major U.S. cities. He became a U.S. citizen in 1938. Hoinko was married to Marjorie Pitman of Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he operated a grocery for a time.
