In the late nineteenth century, a young Nez PerceĢ girl relates how her people were driven off their land by the U.S. Army and forced to retreat north until their eventual surrender. The collection includes corrected holograph and typescript, typescripts (most corrected), front matter, corrected galley proof, correspondence, notes, research materials. The collection includes a limited amount of correspondence about Island of the Blue Dolphins.
