Also included is an address (192-) by Dr. Ernest S. Lewis of New Orleans entitled: A protest against the use of Caesarean section.

Matas, Rudolph, 1860-1957

Rudolph Matas was a prominent New Orleans, La., surgeon. During his career, he served as director of the NEW ORLEANS MEDICAL AND SURGICAL JOURNAL and Professor of Surgery at Tulane University, a post he held until he became Emeritus Professor in 1927. He also was a surgeon and consultant at Charity Hospital, Touro Infirmary, and the Ear, Eye, Nose and Throat Hospital of New Orleans.
