The Foundation Center Cooperating Collection - Delaware holds copies of information returns which private foundations in all states must file annually with the Internal Revenue Service. This collection is limited to those foundations located within the state of Delaware or with strong ties to Delaware. The collection consists of copies of the 990-PF (tax information form) and the 990-AR (annual report, filed by many larger institutions). Often the 990-PF is the only source of detailed information on a private foundation's finances, grants, trustees, and operations. These two forms are available in this collection in two formats: aperture cards (microfiche embedded in IBM computer punch cards) and CD-ROMS.
