Harold Lloyd was a prominent comedian and movie actor during the first half of the twentieth century. He was born in Burchard, Nebraska on April 20, 1893 and started his acting career in 1913 as an extra in one-reel movies. In 1914, Lloyd went to work for producer Hal Roach and starred in over 100 one-reel films as "Willie Work" and "Lonesome Luke".
