The Independent Order of Oddfellows (IOOF) was founded in England during the Industrial Revolution to provide relief to needy workers and their families. The American branch was started in 1821. The Rebekah lodges are the women's branch of the IOOF. These records were from an abandoned building in Ballinger, Texas. The area covered includes: Ballinger, Norton, Runnels City, Bronte, and Talpa. As populations shifted, lodges merged in 1908, 1916, and again in 1931. The Collection consists of meeting minutes, membership roles, records of payments, organization, publications, and correspondence for the lodges in Ballinger, Runnels County, Texas,
