Northey Family Papers, 1688-1964.

The bulk of the Northey Family Papers, 1688-1964, reflects the activities of one of Salem's prominent Quaker families during the late eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The William Northey Papers contain business and personal papers relating to his goldsmithing business, trade with the West Indies, and letters from the Collins family. The Abijah Northey Papers include shipping, business, and personal papers. The Ezra Northey Papers is comprised mostly of personal papers, but contains a few folders concerning his shipping career. The Cynthia (Winslow) Northey Papers is almost entriely correspondence, and concerns in part news of the Quaker community. The Rebecca Buffum Papers contains family correspondence. The William Northey Papers include business, shipping, and personal papers.
