William L. Webber was a soliciter general for the Pere Marquette Railway, president of the Michigan State Agricultural Society, candidate for governor of Michigan and an executor of the Hoyt Estate. He was mayor of Saginaw in 1874 and a member of the Michigan State Senate. He was also president of the Michigan State Horticultural Society in 1878. He was born in Ogden, New York in 1825, moved to Michigan in 1836 and died in 1901. From the description of Webber family papers, 1868-1893...
