On the first tape Rockwell talks about Harmon, Colorado which was near Cherry Creek (Colo.), the dust bowl, being a cow puncher. On the second tape he talks about Dearfield, Colo., founder O. T. Jackson, early settlers of the African American.

African American born on Septemer 12, 1895. His family helped build Denver, Colorado, bought land in the growing city. Resided at the African American colony of Dearfield (Colo.) from 1909-1917.
