Record book of Co. K of the 11th Regiment of the Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, 1861-64, kept by Capt. William Vose Monroe. Includes morning reports, lists of men with their names, ranks, occupations, and physical descriptions. A list of commissioned and non-commissioned officers and a list of deaths, deserters, and discharges. Also included is a small notebook listing men in Company K and two letters, one from Capt. Monroe regarding a soldier's mother's thanks for sending her news of her son's death, 1863; and the second from an anonymous author to Maj. Gen. Taliaferro, 1859.
