Correspondence to Morley Roberts, 1918-1922.

Mostly brief letters or notes reflecting that Roberts consulted with Sir John Bland-Sutton in connection with his essays on scientific issues, and that Bland-Sutton read and thought highly of Roberts's work. It appears that Bland-Sutton was in attendance at the June 1918 meeting of the Zoological Society, where Roberts presented his paper The function of pathology in evolution; Bland-Sutton afterward read the paper carefully and remarks on it in two letters In March 1919. In October 1920 Bland-Sutton conveys his hope that Roberts's book Warfare in the human body will be widely read in the medical community. It is also evident that Roberts sent Bland-Sutton copies of his non-scientific books; Bland-Sutton communicates his wife's high regard for the short story The man who lost his likeness (15 July 1918). Two letters have notes on the versos in Roberts's hand (7 June and 19 November 1918).
