In the case of the Right Rev'd Charles Inglis : manuscript, [not before 1797]

The decision of an appointed board (unnamed) concerning the confiscation of Inglis' property under the New York Act of Attainder (1779), which included the confiscation of debts owed to Inglis. It was found that Inglis did not have a right to demand the debts of the original debtors, and that they had already repaid the debt to the State of New York. The document cites several precedents from other states concerning the confiscation of property and debts belonging to Loyalists.
