Compositions include novels, stories, poems, and essays in various stages of completion, from drafts to printer's copy, galley proofs, and page proofs. Includes contracts with publishers, clippings, six folders of reviews of Updike's books published in Germany, and other business papers. Also includes an early draft of the first story Updike sold to the New Yorker, Friends from Philadelphia.
