Wiliam Warland Clapp diaries and correspondence, 1822-1891.

Chiefly diaries, 1841-1842, 1865, 1873-1891, and correspondence of William Warland Clapp; together with family correspondence, autobiography of Clapp's father, William Warland Clapp Sr., journal (1822) of a trip to New Haven, New York, and Philadelphia by the elder Clapp, and clippings, printed matter, photos, and other papers. Clapp's correspondents include his father and mother, Hannah Williams (Lane) Clapp. Much of the correspondence dates from the early 1840's when Clapp was studying in Paris.
