Frank Vizetelly was an artist and British war correspondent for "The Illustrated London News" (ILN) serving in Italy, in Spain, in the American Civil War, in Austria, and later in Egypt. He was one of the few reporters who served his paper within the Confederate lines during the American Civil War, reporting pictorially from the South and known as a newspaper "special artist."
