Professional and personal papers (1930-2001) of Robert Moody McKinney, including correspondence, newspaper clippings, published materials, appointment calendars, and manuscripts of short stories and poetry by McKinney. The collection also includes reports and correspondence from McKinney's work as chairman of the panel to report to Congress on the Impact of Peaceful Uses of Atomic Energy (1955-1956) and as a representative to the Second International Conference for Peaceful Uses of Atomic Energy (1958); as U.S. Ambassador to Switzerland (1961-1963); and legal documents (1975-1989) regarding Moody's suit against the Gannett Company to regain control of the newspaper The New Mexican.
