Watson Wyman and his brother Gay Wyman bought a ranch near Shell, Wyoming, in 1908. Gay Wyman married Marguerite in 1910. Originally the ranch was operated to raise cattle but about 1913 it became a dude ranch, Trapper's Lodge. Among the regular guests were Owen Wister and Julian Huxley.
