Complaint against William Hawley, 1810.

Members of the 4th Company, 28th Regiment of the Connecticut militia wrote to Major Ephraim Wilcoxson alleging Captain William Hawley, their commander, did not read a new state statute, illegally imposed a fine on an absent soldier, neglected to open an account with the town of Huntington, and failed to enlist all eligble men. The main complainants were Andrew Mallory, Abijah Hubbell and William Tucker.
