Tommy A. Tuten (b. 1923) was born in Miami Beach (Florida) and entered service while living in Morehead City (North Carolina). He served as a radio operator with the 82nd Fighter Control Squadron in the Army Air Forces and was involved in campaigns in Tunisia, Sicily, Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Northern France, Southern France, the Rhineland, and in Central Europe.
